Who We Are

Electric Steam Modelworks R/C Trains (also known as EMW) is a specialty dealer in Electric & Live Steam Locomotives, AirWire, QSI , RCS Radio Control, Phoenix Sound Systems, Battery power, and other electronic aspects of the large scale garden railroad hobby. We use R/C and know what works.  Jonathan has been in Electronics for over 30 years and is an expert in battery technology and methods.  We also specialize in 1:20.3 (Fn3) and 1:29 locos and rolling stock. 

Since 1991 EMW has provided services for design and installation of radio control battery systems in large scale trains. We specialize in G and Fn3 Scale R/C and believe there is no one single solution to every client's needs and so we offer choices - of control systems, battery types, and of sound systems.  There are those who are in this hobby who's sole purpose is to make money only.  We have had a garden railroad since 1989.  We use what we sell and remain an active hobbyist.
